Customer Service
You need something. He'll get back to you.
The roadrunner is one bird. He makes everything to order, keeps the lights on, and occasionally goes outside. If you need help with your order — or just have a question — you're in the right place.
Check the questions below first. There's a decent chance yours is already answered. If not, get in touch at the bottom. He reads everything. Replies take a few days — he's busy, not ignoring you.
Things people actually ask
- How long does shipping take?
Everything in this store is made when you order it — nothing is sitting in a box somewhere waiting. After you place your order, allow 3–7 business days for it to be made, then standard shipping time on top of that. You'll get a shipping confirmation with tracking when it leaves the facility. Total time from order to doorstep is usually 1–2 weeks, sometimes a little longer depending on where you are.
- My order has multiple items. Why did I get separate shipping notifications?
Different products ship from different print facilities depending on what you ordered. An NP shirt and a picnic blanket might come from two different places. That's normal — you're not missing anything. Check your original confirmation email for the full item list.
- The sizing chart said one thing and the fit said another. What gives?
The shirts are Bella + Canvas — they run true to size on the men's cut, slightly fitted on the women's. If you're between sizes, go up. The sizing guides on each product page are the most specific we can make them — read the one for your specific cut, not just the general guide.
- Can I return or exchange it?
Because everything is made to order, standard returns aren't something we do. But if your order arrived damaged, misprinted, or just wrong — that's a different story. Send a photo and your order number and we'll sort it out. We stand behind what we sell.
- My print looks different from the mockup photo. Is that right?
Mockups are accurate representations of the design, but screen colors and printed colors are never a perfect match — especially on colored shirts. The design itself will be correct. If the print looks genuinely off — blurry, shifted, faded in a way that doesn't look intentional — send a photo and we'll take a look.
- Where does it ship from?
Depends on what you ordered. Different product types are printed by different facilities across the US. All of them are domestic. You'll see the origin on your shipping confirmation.
- Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time. US only.
- The donation — where exactly does it go?
A portion of every sale goes to supporting the organizations that protect and preserve these lands. We don't tie it to a single org — the giving is spread across groups doing real work in the places this brand is built around. Donation reporting is published when available.
- I placed an order and never got a confirmation email.
Check your spam folder first — transactional emails occasionally land there. If it's not there either, email us below with your name and the email you used at checkout and we'll track it down.
- Can I cancel or change my order?
Because production starts quickly after an order is placed, there's a very short window to make changes. Email us immediately — include your order number — and we'll do what we can. No promises once it's in production, but we'll try.
- What's the deal with the Creature Finder?
It's a free tool that helps you identify living things in the field — point your camera at any plant or animal and it tells you what you're looking at. It's built for anything alive, not just one region or species type. Right now it's in beta and only available by invite. If and when it opens to the public, the link on this site will go live. Until then, you may get an invite — keep an eye out.
- What are Regions?
The roadrunner didn't stay in the Mojave forever. He's been moving — through the Colorado Plateau, the Sonoran Desert, the California Coast, the Pacific Northwest — and as he travels, the site travels with him.
The store stays the same. The products stay the same. But the look, the feel, the content, and the story all shift to match wherever he is right now. New landscape. New creatures. New facts. His narration of the next place he's passing through.
The Mojave is Chapter 1. More regions are coming as he goes. When a new one opens, you'll know — the site will look different.
- What's the Scenic Finder?
It's a tool that lets you build and discover scenic drives through the desert — routes with points of interest, pullouts worth stopping for, and the kind of things you'd miss if you just followed the highway. The road less traveled, mapped out for you.
It's not live yet. When it is, you'll find it on the Mojave page. Until then — coming soon.
Have a question that isn't covered above?
Email us — and include your order number if it's about an order, it makes everything faster. The roadrunner reads every message personally. He replies when he can, which is usually within a few days. He is one bird.
[email protected] →Ask Max
Max is in. He's a desert tortoise who fields questions while the roadrunner's out exploring — product details, how things work around here, Mojave wildlife, park facts. Tap him in the bottom-right corner and ask. The one thing he can't do yet is look up your specific order — for that, email us above.
Max is named after the real Mojave Max — a desert tortoise who lives at Springs Preserve in Las Vegas and has been the mascot of the Clark County Desert Conservation Program since 1995 — protecting native species and teaching Southern Nevadans about the desert they live in. Ours is a tribute. The original is worth knowing about.
